Yeah, So, Um...Meh

What can I say about a disappointing finale? At first I really didn't care who won, because in the end I cannot stand either Erika or Boogie. But during the Jury Question Period, listening to Erika try to pretend that she had orchestrated ANYTHING during the game, my head exploded.

After the vote, it was fun watching the first 5 evictees chat with the jury about what they had seen on television. Jase and Diane pulled the lame phonecall schtick and announced that they in fact DID have a secret alliance. Oookay...so why the hell didn't you protect each other? They should have just pretended they didn't, they would have looked less stupid. The jury got to see some of Will and Boogie's joint diary room sessions, and I particularly enjoyed the bit about Boogie convincing Erika to nominate Danielle. Seeing that again so soon after Erika told the jury that SHE convinced Chilltown to get rid of Danielle was really good for a laugh. I almost felt bad for Erika when Alison told her to take her winnings and buy some dignity, but then Erika pretended she played Boogie too (uh, no you didn't) and I didn't feel bad at all. However, Boogie trying to excuse the horrible things he said about Erika by blaming the editing was pretty damn pathetic. He's vile.

Boogie won the game in a vote of 6-1, and Janelle won America's Choice, $25,000! Yay! Go Janie!

Women, Feel Free to Be Embarassed Again

What a difference two days makes!

And Big Brother All-Stars will go out with a Final Two as crappy as last year's Ivette and Maggie. I'm incredibly disappointed that Janelle didn't win HOH; the one time she truly needed it. It kills me even more that it seems that Erika and Mike are back together, raising all sorts of questions about Erika. Was she lying to Janelle the whole time? Obviously she wised up and realized that she couldn't beat Janelle in the Final Two, but I believed her when she said she'd rather take 2nd place than have Boogie get near the prize. Oh, Erika, get thee to therapy. You really, really need it.

Will's entry into the sequester house was suitably fun. I'm sure he'll laugh his ass off when he sees Janelle. It's a bummer she had to lose, because it looks like she won Marcellus back with her eviction speech to Will. Ah well. I'm always really bummed when a game show like this gets down to a Final Two of people I can't stand. So, whatever. Finale on Tuesday, yippee. I'm just glad I don't have the live feeds, because five days of watching those two frolic around is just a depressing thought. I have to say that this season wasn't as excellent as I expected, but it was fun to have Dr. Will and Janey back on my television.

And also? We got to watch Boogie cry. That felt good.

Women Everywhere Are A Bit Less Embarassed Today

Last night's Big Brother had what is one of the biggest upsets in the history of the game. After weeks of being promised the exact same things by Will and Boogie, after weeks of flirting (and in Erika's case, more), after weeks of being manipulated into evicting their own allies from the house, the two ladies finally caught a clue and compared notes. And it was awesome.

This week the Veto holder would have all the power - notably, the power to evict the next person from the house. The competition involved a sort of puzzle with trivia about each housemate. Erika and Will each blew it by forgetting to retrieve the last piece of their puzzle, Boogie is useless anyway, so Janelle won. Upon her win, both Will and Erika went into overdrive trying to woo her; Will even sleeping in Janelle's bed. But Erika, who I originally thought was the dumbest person in the world, ended up being the one who got inside Janey's head. The two of them finally put all the pieces together about the duplicity of Chilltown. I was beyond relieved to watch them talk ("Did they tell you that you were a secret member of Chilltown? YES!") and scheme ("We have to get rid of them") while Boogie and Will nervously exercised in the background. The best part of the whole thing was that the girls never really tipped their hand to the boys, which is always someone's undoing.

When it was time for live voting, I was on the edge of my seat, convinced that this was all just misdirection. No way would Will leave the house. And then...JANELLE EVICTS WILL! SUPERBOWL! To say that Boogie was stunned is an understatement. Shall we look again? Yes, let's. This picture makes me so happy.

Will does a charming interview with Julie, and I'm still actually unsure as to whether he really fell for Janey. I think he did. Anyway, back to the house. The HOH competition starts, and it's the traditional three-part competition, the first being endurance. The housemates must stay on a fake volcano that will presumably spew slop and crap like that. Boogie makes sure that the show is still on live TV, then jumps off, yelling something about Richard Hatch and that the girls will both bring him to the Final Two. Janelle is so shocked that, for a brief second, she lets go of the volcano.

Erika wins Part One. And also her self-respect.

Everybody point and laugh:

Dear Mike Boogie, I Hope It Shrivels Up and Falls Off

Once Big Brother gets to the Final Four, the episodes get rather dull. Sunday's episode featured what felt like a 15-minute recap of last Thursday's episode. It was then followed by what felt like an eternity of Boogie and Erika doing dirty things all over the house, and Erika happily talking about meeting her soulmate. Which was then followed by Boogie explaining to us that he is faking the whole thing and doesn't intend to ever date her. He's such an ugly pig. I don't understand why he's acting like he's made this big, giant sacrifice either. Will has managed to manipulate Janelle without laying a hand on her. Sigh. Anyway, they had an HOH competition and Boogie won, and ew. He put up Janelle and Erika, natch. I am very excited for the veto competition, as the winner of PoV will be the only person that can vote this week. Good times. Of course, if she wins it, I doubt Janelle will vote out Will. I'd like to see Erika leave. I'm sick of her looking like she's aged 100 years and I can barely watch the way she fawns over Boogie. It very nearly breaks my heart, yet at the same time, I want to slap her because, hello, it's Boogie.

P.S. From this moment on, I request the word "showmance" be removed from the vernacular. However, Will's brilliant use of "bromance" may continue.

Fast Forward

It really wasn't much of a surprise that Danielle would be evicted tonight, although I admit I never know how Will is going to vote until he actually does it.

Busy evening! As soon as Danielle got the boot, Janelle won HoH and used her four minutes of decision time to ask Will what to do. They wanted to get rid of Erika, so Janelle nominated her alongside George. Unfortunately, Erika won the Veto so Janelle nominated Boogie in her place. Boogie pleaded his case at eviction time by saying that George will have the sympathy vote from the jury and therefore be hard to beat. Not that it mattered since the only two people voting were Boogie's girlfriend (yuck) and his benefactor.

George walked out of the house to a special surprise...fried chicken. More specifically, a bucket of KFC which was presented to him by none other than an old dude dressed like Colonel Sanders. I was so embarrassed, watching George interact with him! What did they expect George to do, cry and hug the Colonel?

The whole show was thrown together so poorly...particularly fun was the veto ceremony. The houseguests run the ceremony on their own every week, so they went ahead and did just that and it was over before the Chenbot even had a chance to make a peep. Chenbot apparently could not compute because we were left with a couple of minutes of silence while the camera people had no idea what to show us.

Erika, I gave you my HEART!

Due to difficulties telling time, I missed the first 20 minutes of the show. I tuned in just in time to see the veto competition. Janelle kicked some serious ass! Will and Boogie excused themselves to the storage room to secretly perform the Dance of Joy.

After the competition, Danielle and Erika decided to take up smoking and hang out with Janelle, which I thought was utterly bizarre.

Boogie, Will and Janelle put great pressure on Erika to nominate Danielle. Erika, being the sharp pencil that she is, thought it would be a good idea to mention it to Danielle. Later that night, Danielle got totally hosed and made a big scene, yelling at Erika about betrayal and the giving away of hearts. Danielle actually started crying. Then Erika started crying and ran away to her HoH room with Will. During their conversation, Danielle came upstairs and rang the doorbell repeatedly. Erika was too chicken to face her, so she and Will went into the bathroom to hide until Danielle finally gave up and left.

During the veto ceremony, Danielle wore the big Sunglasses of Mourning. Erika nominated her and immediately started crying (natch). Will couldn't stop himself from grinning like a fool, to my immense enjoyment. What a fabulous episode!

Last Thursday Chenbot said that there was going to be a surprise double eviction this week. Did that mean that two people will be ousted on Thursday? Can't wait to see how that plays out.

Atkins Diet for Alcoholics

Erika is HoH again, and unfortunately this time it's sticking. Anyway, immediately upon winning HoH, Erika told Danielle she was safe. Danielle was upset that James got voted out, and when she realized that Janelle actually voted to evict James, she got suspicious that perhaps Janelle and Will really do have some kind of plan. I don't know if Danielle realizes that Will and Boogie are in the game together because she seems to think James' eviction was entirely Will's fault. Understandably, Danielle tried to get Erika to nominate Will. Boogie was meant to romance (barf) her out of it, which it appears he did (vomit).

At one point Erika asked Boogie who he is truly aligned with, her or Will. Boogie totally deflected the question.

Will tried to get Erika to nominate Danielle. For a brief second I thought she was going to "consider the possibility of possibly considering" it, but instead she ended up nominating George and Janelle, the obvious choices. Janelle still thinks she's got an alliance in Chilltown. Hopefully Will is serious about wanting Danielle to go home so he really will help Janelle. And will somebody vote George out already? I can't believe he's STILL THERE.

I don't even want to talk about the food competition. That was the dumbest thing I've ever seen. The houseguests won themselves meat, booze and a trampoline. Delicious.

BUT FIRST

Two great things happened during last night's Big Brother - James was bamboozled by Will and evicted, and the HoH competition was a direct shoutout to our friends at TVGasm, the founders of the "But First" phenomenon. So excited for them! Other than that, whatever. James went out like a gentleman, which was nice after Howie's performance the other night. Speaking of Howie, he showed up at sequester still angry, much to the dismay of Marcellus. I smell SITCOM! At the HoH ceremony, Janelle made an early blunder, which is very unlike her, and the new HoH is fricking Erika. Here's hoping that Will can work his magic and keep Janelle. I enjoy watching people survive without an alliance. I wish Erika could nominate herself. She's useless. She and Boogie give me agita.

Who's the Princess of Big Brother? Who's the Princess of Big Brother? (i am)

Last night's Big Brother picks up where Sunday left off, with Howie leaving the house in a rage and Janelle crying dramatically in her bed for hours. Turns out she's trying to make everyone think that she has no fight left in her. Everyone believes her except James. I love that Janelle and James see right through each other. Dr. Will decides to take advantage of Janelle's weakness and use her as a way to get James out of the house. Poor Janey really doesn't have much of a choice except to go along with their plan. I mean, she's got no one else but Chicken George, and he's not exactly a decision-maker in that house. The way Will and Boogie figure, they nominate James and Janelle. Either way, they can get rid of an S6-er. If James goes out like this, I think his exit from the house will be worse than Howie's.

The Veto competition is basically an enhanced game of musical chairs. Actually, if you watched the RW/RR Gauntlet, it was similar to "Name that Coconut." Anyhoo, James and Janelle get into a little scrap over grabbing one of the dolls. In the replay, it looked like Janelle was in the right. Regardless, Jedi Janey won the Veto! Of course, it's easy to win if Dr. Will throws it, Boogie gives you his coconuts (DIRTY), you fight James, and just ignore Erika. I'm psyched for her, though, and I'm glad she won. If Chilltown manages to vote out James, Danielle may go apeshit. I can't wait.

Big Boy Hates Getting Evicted!

Last night's BBAS was excellent. When we last left George, he had nominated James and Erika for eviction. As George reassures Howie and Janelle that they are not his targets, Boogie hatches a plan to have their team win Veto and get George to put up Janelle. George listens politely, but you can tell he has no intention of doing it. Yay for George. He was stronger this week than I thought he was. He caved in the end, but he didn't have much of a choice. Everyone knows Boogie has this mysterious "power." For all George knows, it means that the current HoH could be evicted. Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. Janelle isn't picked for the Veto competition (and I am so tired of that stupid bag which is so fixed), and James aka "Veto King" wins it. George actually yells, "Oh noooooo!" So George's target is now safe and he has to put up someone else.

The entire house sucks George's butt for the next few segments. Will comes in and asks George to put him up. He says he won't be voted out; Erika will, and it will keep George from becoming a target himself. I think that's a great idea! When Boogie gets wind of it, he freaks the hell out and everything culminates with a group discussion where Boogie basically threatens George into putting up Janelle. To George's credit, he refuses. But puts up the next best thing - Howie. Who gets extremely angry and blahblahblah and guess what; he gets evicted and goes out like a punk. And guess what else; I don't care. He was barely playing the game. I hope to see Erika go next, but since frigging BOOGIE won HoH this week and holds the coup, my guess is Janelle goes. She needs to win the Veto this week to keep herself safe.

Georgie Porgie Pudding and Pie

Marcellas was evicted unanimously tonight. I was disappointed because I would have loved to see Erika go and start crying to Julie about how she thought Boogie loved her, but no. Marcellas elected not to give a speech prior to the vote, except for the little speech he gave about how he's a big hypocrite. In his Interview of Shame with Chenbot, he acted like he would never have double-crossed Janelle because he just doesn't have it in him to be so awful. HA HA HA!

But he did say something interesting: He mentioned how the plan with Janelle was that Marcellas would help her get rid of Kaysar, James and Howie. Has anyone else heard about this? I've been either watching or reading the feeds from the beginning and I have never come across any conversation between Janelle and Marcellas formulating this plan. Is he making it up? They certainly haven't shown anything about it during the tv episodes.

In a totally useless and downplayed America's Choice, Janelle won Prom Queen. She won no prize because apparently the prize was an advantage in the HoH competiton, for which she was ineligible. So they just gave her a lame tiara.

The competition culminated in a tie between Chicken George and Danielle. Neither of the two understood the tie-breaker question (how many minutes did the houseguests go without hot water - about 4.5 days) because George came up with 360 while Danielle calculated 308. Who cares? George won! Then he had to make his nominations on the spot, and he surprisingly went with James and Erika. I can dig that. I wonder if Georgie has something up his sleeve.

Boogie won the Coup d'Etat by guessing, "You reap what you sow." Janey embarrassed me by guessing, "You sow what you reap." Sigh.

Coup d'Idiot

Mine eyes! They are bleeding! I hope to hell they vote Erika out this week because if I have to watch her and Boogie together I'm going to do something I'll regret.

The houseguests got the second official clue to the Coup d'Etat puzzle (a giant spool of thread and a sewing needle), and Janelle forced Howie to make the guess, "Wolf in sheep's clothing." Then she made him tell the house that he guessed, "Spool of lies." Poor Howie. I cracked up watching him try to defend his fake answer while Danielle interrogated him about whether he was telling the truth. I almost felt sorry for the guy, but then I remembered that I don't like him.

Marcellas and Janelle had some kind of bizarre make-up session in which it was revealed that they had made a secret alliance to take each other to final two in the first week of the game. I'm not even surprised, probably because they were both so phony with each other that I doubt either of them even believes the other is being serious, which makes it moot. Marcellas went to the diary room to bash Janelle right after he promised that he "never not loved [her]."

The veto competition brought us some faces from the past. I was forced to watch Scott prance about shirtless, and all the old rage came flooding right back. The competition was thrown right to Danielle but it was so obvious that even Janelle and Howie began to suspect James of malfeasance. Then Janelle said something that I didn't catch because I was deafened by everyone in the world yelling, "DUH!" at the same time.

Danielle took herself off the block so Janelle nominated Marcellas. Janelle is doing whatever Will tells her to, which is utterly disappointing. I was kind of hoping she'd nominate James.

I'm not even going to discuss the shower scene because I'm in the process of trying to block it from my memory. My lobotomy kit should arrive in the mail any day now.

Ewe are Expected to Expect the Unexpected!

Seriously, George?

So, as you all know, the HoH competition was replayed due to the fact that their crappy equipment doesn't work. I hadn't previously realized that most of the houseguests experienced buzzer problems, I thought it was just Howie. Julie hosted a second competition late that night, and by the sound of her voice you could tell she was pretty unimpressed at the imposed overtime. Chenbot's battery must have been winding down.

Janelle stole the HoH out from Erika, which I must admit I really enjoyed. Marcellas had some choice words to say about the celebration between Janelle and Howie, calling them poor sports. Let's not forget this is coming from the same man who vocally rejoiced when he realized he had won a slop pass for the rest of the season last week. I don't understand why it's wrong to celebrate. This happened on Survivor a lot, too. The losing team often got angry with the winners for, you know, being happy they won.

For the Coup d'Etat puzzle, Danielle and Erika both worked out "Do Not Assume" from the sheep clue, thinking of Dolly, the cloned sheep. Not a bad guess, but I think it was too early. James guessed "Pull the wool over your eyes," a phrase neither Janelle nor Howie had ever heard before. Come on! George's guess was the best. It's the title of this post. I still haven't stopped laughing.

James, Boogie and Will all tried to convince Janelle to nominate Marcellas for eviction, but Janey stood her ground and went with Danielle and Erika. Good for her.

Being the fickle viewer I am, I'm rooting for Janelle again. I would be totally pulling for James were it not for the incredibly nasty personal comments he makes about Janelle on the feeds.

I'm no Danielle fan at all this season, but I'm hoping Erika goes home. I just cannot stand watching her. In the end, in the final clip of the show, we saw Erika and Boogie smooching in the dark. I don't think I've ever been more grossed out in my life.

The Ghost of Cappy

Yikes, where to begin with last night's Big Brother? In a shock to absolutely nobody, Kaysar was evicted, nearly unanimously, on his birthday. Julie Chen added to the festivities by telling him all about James' alliance with the Legion of Doom and also repeated the awful things James has been saying about Janelle. Kaysar looked like he was going to cry, and he said the smartest thing he's said all season: "I'm not cut out for this game." I will miss the Iraqi peach, but he had NO GAME this season. So long, buddy. For the third time.

Before the HoH challenge, we find out that the BB house is haunted by the ghosts of houseguests past. Various people start seeing floating heads in the mirrors, which is absolutely hilarious. Boogie actually ran from a room, and Janelle almost peed her pants. I must say that I also experienced an incredible horror when I realized that one of the ghosts was Cappy. Goddammit. [Question: I was looking at the feeds that night and I SWEAR I saw Hardy. Was I wrong?] Anyway, for the challenge, the houseguests had to answer very easy questions about the "ghosts." The challenge was more about ringing in first. The person to ring in last would be eliminated. It was obvious the buzzers were malfunctioning, especially when poor Howie's didn't work. But what can you do; it happens all the time on this cheap-ass show. Long story short, Erika is now HoH, and I imagine that Maggie has an entire week of crying to recap. Ha ha!

Unless the Coup D'Etat comes into play...the houseguests will be given clues, and the first to figure it out will win. I'm unsure on the rules of this. Julie said it can be used for the next three weeks. But it can only be used ONCE, right? And they can only put it into play immediately after votes for eviction have been revealed?

Greed versus Loyalty? Greed Every Time, Baby

We got an excellent episode of Big Brother last night. The geekboy likes to say, "I love it when a plan comes together." Well, in the case of BB, I love it when a plan falls apart. Danielle's plan to get rid of Janelle by using James as a pawn couldn't have been going better, especially at the beginning of the veto competition. The producers even made sure everyone in the Legion of Doom alliance was in the veto bag. Janey ended up having Marci play for her, which was kind of sad. Anyway, the competition this week was ingenious and involved amassing and subtracting points to your total by "buzzing in" on certain punishments and temptations. Since the LOD should be working together, it would be easy as pie to get more points than Janelle. However, there were prizes involved and Chilltown's loyalties went right out the window. I would have laughed more if it hadn't been Boogie that won most of the stuff. I hate him. Have I mentioned that? Even James won two things - a margarita party (WTF?) and a phone call from Sarah.

Needless to say, Janelle won the veto by a landslide and Danielle was in shock. The competiton resulted in Danielle having to go to solitary confinement for 24 hours, the beds in the house replaced with cots for one week, four people on slop, and no hot water. Janelle was responsible for most of this and 'fessed up immediately. Apparently these people had too many margaritas later, because by the time Dani got out of solitary, James told her that Marcellus was responsible. Now, Will had decided to deflect attention from himself and Boogie by telling people that Marcellus is the person who won all the prizes (all Marci won was a slop pass and told everyone about it anyway). Watching that gossip spread through the house was pathetic. Live feed watchers: Did anyone actually ask Marci about it? And why did James lie when he knew Janelle was the one who put the house on slop?

Will's plan worked like a charm, as usual, and everyone started clamoring for Marci to be put up in Janelle's place. Danielle, however, actually seems to be able to stick to a plan for more than five seconds, and put up Kaysar. I wonder who will go on Thursday? I'm actually sort of hoping James will stick around, because as far as I can tell, Kaysar has been a whole lot of nothing but eye candy this year. I mean, HOWIE figured out that there's something going on between James and Danielle, but Kaysar's all, "Of course there isn't! James loves us!" Yikes.

Howie's a Big Boy

All right, first off, Danielle wins the HOH competition. She then proceeds to celebrate and call herself The Black Widow. I'm psyched she won, but I hate when people give themselves nicknames. The show spent a lot of time talking about Howie eating too much. Apparently he's been on some sort of feeding frenzy. I think it was supposed to make us think that he fell off the net because he was too fat. Or something. Also? She didn't win; it was handed to her by Erika. Speaking of handing over things, Marci won the weeklong Food Pass and gave it to George. I was so impressed with George's performance in the HOH competition and then his reluctance to take the pass from Marci. I know people find him annoying, but I enjoy having one person in the house who just wants to do the right thing.

As for nominations, Danielle wants to keep her alliance with James (and apparently Will and Boogie) top-secret, so she nominates Janelle and James for eviction. However, her plan is that James will win the veto and get himself off the block. James is in on it, so he acts upset after the ceremony. He did a much better job than Boogie and his ridiculous performance during the HOH. God, I hate Boogie. Anyhoow - I enjoy Danielle's plans and schemes, but one can never control the veto competition and it might be very bad news for James. I guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Mrowr!

Wow, nasty. Could Marcellas be a little uglier? I agree that Janelle did a dumb thing when she decided not to go after Will and Boogie, but she didn't deserve some of the things Marcellas said. And Diane called her a fat bitch! Seriously, Diane? And Amy? Wow. Someone is jealous and bitter! I guess vacation life with Rhett Butler is a little lacking.

Danielle tried to set in motion a plan to keep Diane just to anger Janelle. Nobody went for it so Diane went home. Will, in an unsurprising, Will-like move, voted to evict Erika despite his deal with Janelle. I just feel so bad for her. She made a HUGE mistake. Why doesn't anyone understand that the only one who can trust Will is Will?

HoH competition this week is based on endurance. The houseguests have to stay tangled in a giant web as long as they can while the web is shaken, raised, lowered and sprayed with foam.

Oh No You Di'int!

Janey, why? WHY? Why you gotta do me like that?

Obviously Will's plan had nothing to do with putting up floaters, but rather to destroy the Season 6 alliance from the inside out. Which it seems he succeeded in doing. Janey, I can't even look at you! I have absolutely no clue why you think it's best to exchange a solid alliance of four people for the promise of a week of safety from two people.

James openly stated he did not care for Janey's choice to nominate Boogie and Erika. During the veto competition (which was really cool and creepy) Janelle chose to hinder Diane instead of Boogie, and asked Howie to do the same. Later on, after Boogie won the veto, James demanded to know why she wouldn't have chosen to hinder Boogie instead. Janelle tried to play dumb but Howie called her out and spilled the beans that Janelle wanted to keep Erika and Diane from winning. Afterward, James called Janelle a liar and made it clear that if she nominated Diane instead of Will during the veto ceremony, he'd start playing the game for himself instead of the team.

Janelle nominated Diane. James pledged that his involvement in the alliance was now over, and approached Danielle with the news he was going after Janey next. Danielle, of course, was all over that. It seems to me that Janelle really has no choice but to permanently join Chilltown if she wants to stay in the game, because while I can't imagine Howie and Kaysar are going to work to evict her, I highly doubt they'll ever trust her again.

Janelle, I'm sorry. I know we shared a lot. I will always love you in my own way, but I must go be with James now.

Janey in the Middle

It's Janelle's second week as HoH; the fourth week that a member of the Season 6 alliance has been in power. It should be smooth sailing for them but Will has been working his evil magic on Janelle, trying to convince her that her own alliance is falling apart. Will described how James has begun to get close to Danielle and Kaysar to Erika. Janelle seems to be playing some kind of flirting game with Will, but I can't figure out what it is. Will seems to think Janelle is actually falling for him, but since I wouldn't put it past Will to lie in the diary room, who really knows.

The food competition was pretty lame...5 balls were tossed into the fray, one of them marked with a star. The person who caught the star ball won food for the week and had to choose someone who must eat slop. At one point in the feeds Erika was complaining to Diane about how unfair the competition was because girls don't catch and throw...boys do! What an utter crock of shit. I am a rather unathletic girl but toss out free t-shirts in a club or a bar and you are going DOWN if you get in my way.

I don't know how I feel about the nominations. Janelle wanted to go after floaters, mainly Diane, but James didn't like that idea. In the end she seemingly took Will's advice and nominated Mike and Erika. Any day Boogie is on the block is a good day for me, but we've still got the veto competition to contend with.

The Domination of Season Six

Eviction night on Big Brother! That means yet another stupid costume from Chicken George, another live-air business plug for Will, and a unanimous kicking out of Jase. Wow. I almost felt bad for him, when he gave his goodbye speech and his voice broke at the end. But then I remembered all he put me through two years ago and didn't care. Plus, he deserved to be kicked out. From last night's show, it appeared that he struck a deal with S6 to stay until at least sequester. Instead of going with that, and pretending to the rest of the house that he was being voted out, he went and told Will and Boogie that he was staying. WTF? Seriously? Dumbass. Oh, Jase, you could have been a contender. Now you're just a footnote.

Isn't it weird that Diane never speaks? She makes me nervous. She's in all the camera shots but she's just staring into space. Hey! Last night we re-visited Shannon, Will's old "showmance" (gag) from BB2. Awesome! She still sucks! Hated her. Anyway, last night after Jase was evicted, Will acted like he was angry that he wasn't voted out. Then he and Boogie (IMO) actually attempted to win the HOH competition. And they didn't, which thrilled me. It came down to Kaysar, Marci and Janelle, with Janelle taking it. Thank god. Kaysar is defenseless this week, as he gave up his privilege to compete in Veto. So I'm glad he'll still be around. My dream nominations for Janey would be Mike Boogie and Diane. Or Erika. Those two are sort of interchangeable to me at this point.

Will Hates You All

Last night, Big Brother All-Stars finally got rolling. James has nominated Will and Chicken George, and now it's time for the Veto competition. Playing for the Veto will be Will, James, Kaysar, George, Jase, and Boogie. The competition is obviously set up for Chicken George to win, and he does - by eating slop, burning clothing, getting written on (WTF?), soaking in blueberry juice, giving up next week's Veto, shaving his head, and promising to eat only slop for the rest of his stay in the house. Kaysar hung in all the way to shaving his head, and lost at the tie-breaker. George wins Veto! I believe it was totally rigged. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it. Heh. At the Veto ceremony, Will stands up and gives one of his best speeches ever. He tells everyone that he hates them and he hates the show and he hates being there and he begs them to vote him out. Whatever; I've heard that song before. But then he says that if they DON'T vote him out, he will throw every team competition and ensure that they eat slop every week. See, now those are fighting words, and some of the houseguests looked horrified. I laughed and laughed and laughed.

Meanwhile, George (who is in a sentimental mood after giving Howie a surprisingly sweet pep-talk) expresses his love for each and every houseguest and then (duh) uses the Veto on himself. James puts up Jase in George's place! We knew this was going to happen because they told Jase in advance. He responded by throwing around patio furniture and getting into a fight with Marcellus. I thought it was very uncool of James to go back on his word with Jase...it's too early in the game to backstab like that, isn't it? I also think Boogie should have been put up instead. I think Boogie should be put up every week. I think he should be permanently nominated.

Anyway, who do you think will be evicted tomorrow? As much as I love him, it would be very exciting if Will were voted out. Call his bluff, people!

James Hates Chicken George

Listen, I really want to give you a nice recap of Big Brother. However, last night's show featured a montage of Mike Boogie working out, and I really can't remember much after the ambulance left the house. Sorry.

James discusses his choices for nominations with basically everyone in the house, except for Chicken George, who he HATES. Why so much hate? He's just a dumb old guy in a tinfoil suit. It seems like James and Kaysar really want to force out people who could possibly ride someone else to the end. I'm cool with that. Jase is also someone who needs to be taken out...I'm enjoying his gameplay, and surprised that he hasn't been targeted yet. I'm also impressed with how fast Danielle fell off everyone's radar. We got a food competition last night, which was INCREDIBLY boring and went way better than it should have. In my opinion, it should have been a timed event. So, eventually, James makes his nominations. He puts up Chicken George and Will. He claims that Will is a pawn. I wonder if that's 100% true. Thoughts? And WTF was up with Will's spray-on tan at the end of the episode? Ew!

Campaign? Who, Me?

After the veto ceremony, Erika gave Nakomis and Diane some utter crap about how she "tried" her best. Tried what? Diane responded by telling Nakomis she hated cop outs, and I had to agree. Erika could have used the veto if she wanted to.

Nakomis and Diane promised each other they wouldn't campaign against one other, but wouldn't you know, Nakomis ended up in the HoH room with S6, pledging her allegiance in the fight against Chilltown. Diane, surprise surprise, was sitting with Will and Mike telling them that she's not campaigning, oh no, but her main goal in life is to go after S6.

I'm surprisingly bored this season. I find the editing has lost its zing. Last year the editors were brilliant, but maybe there is less to work with this time since everyone is trying so hard to make "good tv" that all they're doing is making crap and the editors don't have much to work with. I also can't figure out what spin CBS themselves is trying to put on the show. I may have to get the feeds to know what the hell is really going on.

Kaysar's family came on to remind us that there are boobs outside the BB house as well as inside, and that Kaysar is fully capable of being around boobs while remaining a Muslim. Good for him!

Chenbot flubbed a lot of her lines, Nakomis got voted out 8-2, Janelle voted outside her alliance, Marcellas thinks he and Janelle are just the prettiest.

In a tiebreaker against Danielle, James won HoH for Week 3 and Howie, like the dumb puppy he is, ran to congratulate him. James must have said something nasty, because Howie fell back immediately. I'm really excited that James won. I can't wait to finally see some fit hit the shan.

Frustrated

Diane and her crying are getting on my last nerve. "Oh, I came on the show to change my life and it just isn't FAIR!" Wah wah. There is no shame in going home and having your parents help you get back on your feet, you know. You're young. There's time. Because certainly no one here is going to hand you the $500,000 on a silver platter, my dear.

I was truly hoping to see more of a plan come from Kaysar. At least he could have convinced his new "girlfriend" Erika to do something interesting with the veto. Erika won the veto in a golf-like competition but didn't use it, to my utter disappointment.

Will is making me insane. I don't understand why people listen to him! It's truly bizarre because he seems totally transparent to me, no pun intended. Never before have I wished so fervently for a man to wear lipstick, but I guess that's neither here nor there.

The reaction everyone had to Nakomis' hair bugged me to no end. Obviously these people don't get out much. Howie was particularly nasty in the diary room.

Mike Boogie, GET OFF MY TV. I don't even know where to start with him. Between his futile crush on Diane and licking the whipped cream off of Erika's legs, I think I threw up at least seven times.

Doctor, Heal Thyself

This week we found out why Will's head looks so taut and shiny all the time...he administers Botox to himself. So not surprised.

I can't tell if Kaysar's week as HoH is going well or not. I loved him last season, I still love him now, but I will be the first to admit that he's made huge mistakes in the past. He made a dubious deal with Will and Mike Boogie of which I will reserve judgement about until I see how the veto competition goes.

Jase was so intent on not appearing to align with any particular side that he ran straight to Janelle to report what he spoke about with Will and his bitch, Boogie.

PB & J is a thing of the past. Instead, the losers of the food competition earned themselves buckets of slop, which looks like porridge to me. Howie poured some kind of purple powder into his, which grossed me right out. The competition gave the Houseguests their first taste of the slop; they had to root around in troughs of the stuff and find rubber mice with their teeth. Nasty.

Meanwhile, Erika has a frightening crush on Kaysar, Howie has made Chicken George his padawan learner and Mike Boogie thinks he has a chance in hell with Diane. Good luck to you.

In the end, Kaysar decided to nominate Nakomis and Diane. I don't know if he was honouring his deal with Will and Boogie to make a throwaway nomination or whether he's going to try to get Will after the veto ceremony.

And the Nation Breathed a Sigh of Relief

Hooray, we no longer have to worry about Alison ruining our summer! She was voted out 8-2 (HA!). Looks like Nakomis and Diane weren't let in on the change of plans. Interesting, huh? Anyway, Julie Chen was on fire last night. She tossed out her first "but first" of the year, followed by a sneaky "but now," made fun of Alison for losing her third reality show in a row, called her out on the horrible things she says about people and then announced the wrong winner of the HOH competition. LOVED IT! The HOH competition was a quiz about Alison, which is just as stupid as it sounds, and it resulted in about a dozen people being eliminated at one time, leaving only Kaysar and Nak. Kaysar won, Howie celebrated so excitedly that James actually screamed, "CALM THE FUCK DOWN" and the show was over 5 minutes early because they didn't expect the HOH comp to end so quickly. I'm excited for the rest of the week, although I'm nervous that Kaysar might screw up. And, and who wants to talk about Alison's boyfriend? Words fail me.

Va-Va-Va-VETO

Last night brought us our first Veto competition on BBAS. Before this season started, I had a feeling there would be some rule changes to prevent pre-existing alliances from running roughshod through the whole game. First we got dual HOH (and it is Heads of Household, NOT Head of Households, JASE) and, now, nominees are not allowed to choose their own partner to play for Veto. It's randomly chosen. Interesting. Before the competition, Alison talked a lot of shit all over the house about how she was going to "murder somebody" to win it. Yeah, well, she lost. So much for that, eh? Our winner was Jedi Janey, kicking off this summer in a big way. Let's hope she can continue her momentum. Meanwhile, Alison and Danielle both tried to convince Jase and Janie that the whole "Let's kick Janelle off" idea was the other person's. Whatever. I think Danielle handled it much better than Alison did. I really want Alison to go home tomorrow. I need it, people. Also? Howie's man-crush on Will? Awesome.

It's On

So, Big Brother All-Stars began last night with a bang! With this group of people, the scheming started immediately as they scrambled around like rats, sniffing each other out. Here's the list of people who made it in, and CBS can kiss my ass, because there is no way in holy hell that JASE was voted in by America and Will wasn't. I don't know what they're trying to pull, but they had best cut it out. Regardless, I'm very pleased with the cast. The big twist this year is co-Head of Households. Now, will this be every week? I like the idea of them having to agree on who to nominate or risk being nominated themselves. Of course, once you see the key box, you know whether or not the HOHs agreed, so that's kind of a letdown. I'd rather it be a surprise. Actually, the big twist this year is that, in proximity to Mike Boogie and Alison, Jase is not nearly as repellent as I remember him. Kill me.

Anyhoo, everyone moves in and everyone is threatened by the Season Six people, and Danielle immediately tries to capitalize on that. In doing so, she comes up with a great idea that should have been played later in the game. She underestimates the capabilities of her fellow houseguests, comes out swinging way too early and, as much as I can't stand the sight of her, Alison immediately smells a rat. However, because she's Alison, she can't shut up about Danielle's big plan of getting rid of Janelle and tells everyone she runs across. Now Danielle and Alison are on the radar, and it's no shock that the co-HOHs nominate them both. Excellent. I'd like to see Allie go home, but I remember her being pretty strong at challenges, while Danielle wasn't. So, we'll see...

Wooooo!

BBAS begins tonight! Maggie and I will be splitting posting duties on this season, thank god. Also, we'll be doing the same thing we did last year with Big Brother - all commenting will happen on the boards. Since the show is on three times a week, it's too unwieldy to have three separate comment threads going at the same time on the front page, so we decided that using the forums are the best answer. You can have an ongoing conversation without worrying about the specific post dropping off the homepage. This also gives the live-feed-watchers and spoiler-people a place to hang out. It worked out well last summer, and I'm looking for even more people to participate this season.

All you have to do is register, if you haven't already. Don't be so lazy. God. And feel free to start up discussions on other shows, if you'd like. Just let me know if you need any help.

NOW GO!

Houseguests Revealed

If you're a spoiler whore and can't wait until tomorrow night, apparently the audio feeds went live accidentally yesterday in the Big Brother house. Click here to see the list of houseguests and this season's big twist. I looked at the houseguests, but not the twist. Don't read the comments if you don't want to be spoiled. I don't want to know the twist, so I won't be visiting the comments.

P.S. The geekboy and I are currently working on the forums to get them ready for all of you who would like to discuss live feeds and things like that. The boards have been attacked by spammers and we're cleaning it up and installing preventative measures. Some of you may find out you were accidentally deleted or banned. If you were deleted/banned and you believe it was in error, please email me to discuss.
