I liked Alla too. For some reason I can't stand Rebecca, maybe it's because Trump LOVES her.

Sara at December 2, 2005 09:30 AM

I'm screwed! SCREWED! I picked Alla to win in the first week! Damn, I though I was in the clear when he fired Felisha. I think i can get behind Alla being fired, though, because even though nobody mentioned it in the boardroom, the episode clearly showed it was Alla's idea for that text to move so fast on and off the screen in the video, and that was the biggest flaw.

Maybe Trump was told that this season *had* to fit into 13 episodes (rather than 18 in the other seasons) and that's what lead to the multiple multi-firings?

Despite the fact that I have now completely lost the fantasy game, I'm happy with a Rebecca/Randall finale. They're the only two this season I didn't think were complete scumbags.

Joey Jo-Jo at December 2, 2005 09:30 AM

Bah, I don't buy that just because it was Alla's idea to use the text and make it move so fast, she deserved to be fired. It was Felisha's project to manage, and she could have easily overridden that decision. Randall made an equally bad decision as a non-PM a few weeks ago, and Trump didn't fire him for it. Alla's performances up till last night have been beyond reproach, and one mistake like this shouldn't have nullified all of that. She deserved at least one more week to legitimately screw up before she got the boot.

The first double-firing was funny. The second double-double-firing was shocking and good television. This double-firing was just idiotic and undeserved. It's not like the Microsoft execs were horrified by their end product -- they just liked the other one better.

And if Trump really does a double-hiring, people will hear my yawn from a thousand miles away. Because that would be truly lame.

GeekBoy at December 2, 2005 09:39 AM

Well I grew suspcicious of a double firing because normally when it's down to 4, there is no task, it's just get interviewed by a bunch of trumps buddies and then he picks the final 2 right? (or am i wrong)

anyway guess we have no actual interview sequence this time around. I'm actually glad about that, it was the worst part of the show (imo)

Soosan at December 2, 2005 09:41 AM

Ah! The INTERVIEW! I was racking my brain last night trying to remember what they did when they get down to 3.

Joey Jo-Jo at December 2, 2005 10:23 AM

I think a dance-off would be better...

Soosan at December 2, 2005 10:28 AM

I really liked Alla, but her inability to Shut. UP. in the boardroom last night really did her in. Trump was right, Felisha would've done a great job of hanging herself if Alla would have just let her.

I just want to wish you all a fond farewell as this season's (extremely lucky) TMFT Fantasy game leader, as I did a horrible job at selecting the ultimate winner and will only get another 100 points if Randall gets the job. For those of you like Freakgirl who selected him from the get-go, rock on!

I can't believe I was only 8 slots out from being on the Top 50 overall. OVERALL! ::sob!::

Jane at December 2, 2005 10:39 AM

I wonder if Toral is upset with Rebecca or not. Only wondering this because I'm sure she'll be one of the people brought back to help with the final tasks.

Soosan at December 2, 2005 10:49 AM

I agree that Alla didn't deserve to get canned. Plus, with all these multiple firings it's shortened the season by weeks. Very annoying.

When Alla was laughing at Felicia's tears, I imagined Alla back in her stripper days viewing the guys who slobbered all over her in the same disdainful way -- as pathetic individuals to be taken advantage of or discarded.

I agree that Randall is probably the winner and that the editing isn't good enough to make us think otherwise. It makes me wonder, though, if b/c last year people were calling Burnett/Trumpster racists who only picked "crazy black people" to be on the show, that they purposely picked a bunch of dimbulbs to give Randall the best chance at winning? So they'd hopefully finally get a black person as the Apprentice (They shoulda brought Kwame back to win!). Sucks cos when Randall wins, (some) people will say that's the only reason and not cos he's the best.

Frankie at December 2, 2005 11:00 AM

I'm still in third place AND I got nine out of ten questions correct last night. Usually I search the message boards at TWoP for clues to help me with my picks but this week I didn't. Lesson learned!

Felisha sucks. Really...I would have punched her out during the task if I was Alla. All the "she's directing, I'm acting but I'm directing" crap was just oh so very annoying.

DaisyLou2 at December 2, 2005 11:02 AM

And It was meant to sound like I am excited that I held onto third place and I made my picks all by myself. When I read it over it sounded like I was pissed off. Could just be me.

Did I mention that today is Friday?

DaisyLou2 at December 2, 2005 11:05 AM

it's friday, and of coures that means a huge snow blizzard. I better be able to make my nephews 1 year birthday! Damn you Lake effect snow...

And on the topic of winter weather... what's everyone make of trumps move to LA next season?

Soosan at December 2, 2005 11:26 AM

I'm in second place in the fantasy league but will be taking myself out of the race. Why? Like JJJ, I too picked Alla to win in the first week. Of course, I'm a bit biased when I say that the double firing was complete BS, but it was.

Felisha was a complete basket case during that task—of not for Alla, it would have been a total disaster. Alla probably should have kept her flying text idea to herself and let Felisha call the shots, giving her just enough rope to hang herself.

I do think that both Randal and Rebecca deserve to win (but individually—a double hiring would be LAME) but Alla definitely didn't deserve to go this time. Boo!!

brigita at December 2, 2005 11:28 AM

Oh I am so upset by last nights show! This whole season is about the fact that ratings are down. Trump blames Martha--whatever but the stunts Burnett/Trump are pulling to end this early and raise ratings is causing the show to loose any kind of honesty.

Alla--last week she got a pass when she should have stayed put.
This week Trump is donw on her for being touhg?/strong? and picking on poor Felisha?

Give me a break--Felisha manipulated the whole thing--Felishas false humble crap was no more than making sure if she went Alla went too or at least did not win.

Alla was very good and her mistakes did not warrant her firing. Rebecca, who has done nada--is Trumps hand picked (along with Randall) final two.

The Donalds own inconsistancy in dealing with these people does not make him look good at all.
Since when does Donald feel sorry for a crying apprentice?

Like someone else said--the first two "surprises" worked but not this one--this one makes the whole thing seem fixed.

Only good thing is my huge leap up in the fantasy game.
I think I am going to do a blog post on this one myself.

Bubbi at December 2, 2005 02:32 PM

You guys are all assholes. The one week I do well, the rest of you can't just suck? Seriously.

I'm okay with the Alla firing, too. I don't understand what the "winners" don't understand about just keeping their mouths shut. Felisha TOTALLY would have hung herself had Alla given her the chance. I think part of what pissed Trump off so much is that Alla CONSTANTLY kept making it personal. Clearly Felisha was dimwitted and incapable of leading leaders. But Alla was too head-strong to just STFU and slide by. She had to kick the dead horse, and now she's OUT.

I like Rebecca. I hope she wins. AND, I was really impressed with their presentation last night. CE's kept making me dizzy and made me feel stupid 'cuz I couldn't read their 900 word presentation in the 2.7 seconds I had.

Anyway, whatever. I'm still over this season.

sar at December 2, 2005 04:59 PM

I have to agree with sar- Sure Alla is a great strong leader but a leader also needs to learn to follow as well. Alla just steamrolled all over everything and tried to make it "HERS HERS HERS". If she hadn't done that, then yeah it woulda been just Felisha out the door. I don't care much for Alla "looking down her nose at people who struggle with depression" either. That was a tad annoying but I know there are people like that out there. Trump doesn't want somebody coming in gangbusters and trying to take over his or any other leader's job...the "apprentice" is supposed to be that...an apprentice who starts at the bottom (or relative bottom as it were).

It WAS kinda funny to see Alla get up as if "oh I've got THIS sewn up..." and told SIT ALLA.. (that's a whole other topic tho...).

My vote is for Randall.

FuzzDuckie at December 2, 2005 09:30 PM

i feel even if alla wasn't fired in this episode, she would've been the next. her character is too inflexible. i could see her as a mob wife or something.

from the beginning, i believed Randall would make the final two. i didn't like rebecca in the beginning, but she has impressed me. so, i agree Trump might hire both. i hope so, Randall & Rebecca have done so well.

alice at December 3, 2005 03:13 AM

Randall has been my pick since the start. I dont like Rebecca but we shall see what she does on her own.

However--there was no basis to firing Alla other than the contrived results Trump is after.
Alla may have been to tough and that should have been her un-doing at some point but not until this show have we heard anyone say she is soooo difficult to work with.

In the boardroom Alla was not allowed to even finish a statement and the fact that trump allowed Felisha to go on and on with her tearful crap is so NOT Trump.

Felisha spent the whole task trying to make sure Alla did not out do her--in so doing, they waisted valuable time and the end product showed this.

Bubbi at December 3, 2005 10:21 AM

Last night's firing was just weird. While Alla did screw up, what happened to all Trump's blather about, "considering past performance?" He almost seemed to fire her as an afterthought. And since when is he sympathetic toward a weeping Apprentice? TWOP mentions something about a cut scene in which Felisha practically has Trump, Caroline, and Bill in tears, too, but I couldn't find it online. What'd she do, kill a puppy in front of them?

Very, very strange, all around. Still rooting for Randal, though.

Greater Czarina at December 3, 2005 01:56 PM

I was in absolute shock that Alla got fired. I'm with you, GeekBoy, in that Alla didn't deserve to be fired just because it was her ideas that blew the task. Oh, and let's not forget something else. Trump really DID say he was going to go by past performance along with the current task. He only went by this task. Trump lost most of my respect by firing Alla. And now, my second pick to win (I don't play the Fantasy Game, though) is gone.

I think Randal is a shoo-in to win. Rebecca's just a tossup.

Jamison at December 3, 2005 09:51 PM

Alla shouldn't have been fired. She was easily the best candidate and should have won. Felisha should be ashamed of herself for sabotaging Alla the way she did. It was almost as though she felt that since she knew she was going to get canned, she purposely set out to make Alla look bad. I hate scams like that.
