I hope the show continues, but there's no way I'm getting Showtime just to watch it. Guess I'll just have to hope the later seasons come out on DVD, too.

Yeah, I don't want to get Showtime, either. I had it when The Chris Isaak Show was on, and that was the only time I watched it.

Figures, the one channel I DON'T get...

Showtime is making a big push with quality original programming right now. I picked it up when i switched to directv this fall and have been totally enamored with their new series, Sleeper Cell. They picked up another season of their comedy series, Weeds, as well so I assume it's decent.

I still love me some hbo original programming but now that I pretty much only watch movis on DVD it seemed to make sense to dump cinemax and starz and add another channel with originals.

Besides that, Showtime is desperate for viewers, you can probably get half the year for free AND get ice cream for a year.

Fox deficits $400,000 per ep of AD? Wow. Is that normal? Why are they not making money off the show? Sounds like someone needs to get fired rather than cancel a great show.

One of our cable channels has picked up Weeds. I'm going to give it a try.

I'm getting all absorbed by The L Word lately. What a soap opera!

Maggie at December 14, 2005 09:30 PM

which cable channel? Showcase?

Soosan at December 14, 2005 10:56 PM

Yah. Showcase rock-a da house, yo.

Maggie at December 15, 2005 12:23 AM

niiiiiiiiice

Soosan at December 15, 2005 09:30 AM

AD and the L Word might push me over the edge and force me to get Showtime if the AD deal goes through. Also, that Weeds show is supposed to be decent.

nora at December 15, 2005 11:26 AM

I just started the show over. That pilot is fucking genius.

Michael at December 16, 2005 07:41 PM

I have watched the first season of Weeds and it was excellent (I got tapes from a friend) if Showtime picks up AD, I will definitely subscribe. I will just order one less pizza a month or something. Yay, Showtime!
