I hope another network picks it up. One of the funniest moments ever aired on television was when Buster, believing that Gob was doing a mock-burial magic trick at their dad's funeral/birthday party, was dancing behind the coffin dressed as a gay Nazi.

What kills me is that ABC cannot find anything to go with their John Stamos one-camera/no laugh track 1/2 hour comedy so they are burning two episodes per night. FOX--let another network take AD. ABC--buy AD. Problem(s) solved.

Just writing to say something is up with your RSS feed - your posts aren't showing up in Bloglines any more. Maybe its something you can fix? Thanks. Love the site.

Fox? The most heartless of all networks? We're lucky it's on the air at all. Ask all the Tru Calling fans where the second season is.

Commence begging the network

Tru Calling was officially cancelled, I thought.

freakgirl at February 10, 2005 07:31 PM

Arrested Development = AD; American Dad = ??
Can't see why they need both Family Guy & Dad, since the latter is basically a clone of the former exept for the different character incarnations.

Firefly. Wonderfalls. Tru Calling.

Frankly, I'm more surprised that Fox has actually let a decent show like Arrested Development run THIS long. I swear, for a network that gave us The X-Files and The Simpsons, I have no clue how these people reconcile their programming decisions any more. Seems like they used to do it right.

Don't forget Jason Bateman is hosting SNL this weekend!

yay!

freakgirl at February 11, 2005 08:41 AM

I don't really have an opinion on Arrested Development, but I will say that I didn't like American Dad nearly as much as I like Family Guy. It was a pale imitation, I thought.

My heart is deflated, the world is ending. No more Gob, or Buster, or George-Michael? No more George-Michael!? Thank goodness for TV on DVD.

More info.

Re: Tru Calling: they renewed it, filmed six new eps, suspended production, said nothing, then cancelled it on Jan 10th when Point Pleasant's time slot was announced. Bastages. I almost would rather have it cancelled outright then know there are eps that will never see the light of day unless there is a DVD.

Janet at February 11, 2005 04:30 PM

That's what seems kind of dick-ish about whatever they're doing with Arrested Development. It's like they're not outright cancelling it, probably because it's won awards ... but they seem to be doing SOMETHING fishy.
