I know. Of all the cast members to fill in for Fey, they choose Sanz? The hell?

His constant need to snicker and laugh during any sketch he's in has grown REALLY tired.

This whole episode was off. I was really psyched to have Steve Carrell as host, but it was a really bad episode all around - capped by the inexplicable decision to use Horatio Sanz as co-anchor. Awful.

Up against LOST? Martha, that is not a "good thing".

Soosan at October 2, 2005 10:48 PM

It seems to me that Martha's move means that we are watching the first and final season of MARTHA'S APPRENTICE.

I let out a groan when Horatio Sanz appeared at the Weekend Update desk, but ... this week's SNL did provide me with one of my favorite skits -- THE LUNSFORD TWINS VARIETY SHOW! (I think that's the name of it.) As Granny Crabtree would say, "Aaaaaaaaaaah, nutz!"

TimShady at October 3, 2005 12:40 PM

I'm just amazed that it didn't occur to me that Mike Myers would make a cameo appearance on the show. All week, Freakgirl and I were like, "You know they'll have to do something with Kanye." And yet the skit totally caught me off-guard. I love when that happens.

But yeah, Horatio Sanz ... bad. And just stop with the stupid Aaron Neville imitation already. It's really not worth all the tanning makeup and fake biceps.

I'd like to point out that TimShady does an AWESOME imitation of Granny Crabtree. Maybe he'll let me post an audio file one day. :-)

my mom and i were talking at the beginning of the martha season about how smart it was of them to not try and compete against lost. i mean, come on. not a chance, martha. oh well. i agree, first and last year if they don't move timeslots.
