I think you're right about the house arrest thing...when the winning team was about to board the schooner she made a point about having to go home.

I believe Martha was being told to keep Jim around for ratings and we got that horribly cheap talk about "This company is not built on Jennifers," and "It's better to have a live wire...blah blah rationalizationcakes." Which is dissapointing to me. I thought Martha didn't fake anything. If she starts believing the Donald's hype I will be very sad.

I was really pissed off when one of the New! Improved! Matchstick! (I'm not sure who it was) said they'd have to "keep an eye" on Marcela because the first salad dressing she came up with was green. Yeah...I don't trust them green salad dressers. Ugh.

How sweet was it when Howie stood up to Jim's threats? Howie rocks the house!

I only saw bits and peices of the show (commercial breaks during lost), but that green salad dressing looked quite appetizing actually. mmmmmm salad...

I'm all for some green salad dressing--doesn't green connote "freshness" and "health" in the food world? I sure don't think of puke as soon as I see it.

Max at October 20, 2005 06:19 PM

Yeah, Howie rocka da house. Jim is such a little weasel. Besides, have you seen Howie's arms? I don't think he feels apprehensive about standing up to anyone.

Maggie at October 20, 2005 07:32 PM

The green salad dressing did make me think of some funky health stuff but it also looked like the green salsa stuff I love at Moe's. Plenty of foods are bright green, so I don't see the problem. Both dressings sounded gross to me, but I'm not much for salad dressing anyway.
I thought Jim and Howie (or at least Howie) were going to throw punches. I don't think Howie will make it to the end because that was his second scary anger episode. He's going to blow up at someone down the line and get sent home for it.
Last thing, why does no one hate Carrie's hair? I keep expecting someone on here to disparage it, but nothing. It's so... tall and fluffy.

I think TWoP's nickname for Jim is quite perfect - Hateful Jim. And also, I hate him, appropriately. I hope he goes home next week but since he makes such "good" TV he'll probably be around for quite awhile. And I thought the green salad dressing looked pretty good! I love guacamole though so that could be why.

I watched this for the first time last night. I would have fired or probably demoted Jennifer for being a very sorry leader and I would have fired Jim for unbelievably inappropriate behavior. Enthusiasm good, passion good, misreading your target audience and offending potential customers and teammates? Inexcusable, results or not.

Charlie at October 21, 2005 02:10 PM

I hate Jim, but Jennifer had to go. She was too afraid of Jim? Poor excuse.

But I do believe that Jim will get fired next week. He HAS to get fired next week.

Leslie? Still love her, but quite disappointed in her methods. Good strategy to try and sell multiple bottles of their salad dressing, but bad way of doing so.

Marcela? Glad we finally saw her. And glad she finally did something that made her shine.
