I'm seriously OVER Trump firing multiple people. And Clay. Totally over him, the little bitch.
I think earlier in the season, or last season, even Trump would have told Marshawn "I'm really disappointed in you, step it up next week, you're on my radar, blahblahblah." But instead he just fired her. I think it was sort of unwarranted, considering she hasn't performed that poorly so far.
I kind of have a crush on Rebecca. I think it will come down to her and Randal.

Carolyn and Bill didn't look too thrilled with Marshawn's firing, either.

I would like to see a Randal/Alla final two. Randal is great, and not as confrontational as Alla tends to come across, but Alla seems to want it more, you know what I mean?

freakgirl at November 11, 2005 09:54 AM

Eh, I thought she deserved it. She abandoned her team at the last second, and disloyalty is something Trump hates. Why didn't anyone point out it was Marshawn's idea to not feature Vader prominently?

Maybe it's because I'm a pop culture junkie, but I just can't fathom how anyone in 2005 could know NOTHING about Star Wars, to the point where names like "Yoda" or "Han Solo" mean absolutely nothing. I mean, even if you hadn't seen the movies, you'd think you would have picked most of it up through osmosis or something. It's like not knowing what the Super Bowl is. I never watch it, but I have the jist of it.

Joey Jo-Jo at November 11, 2005 10:11 AM

I was shocked that Brian needed Randal to explain to him the story of Star Wars. I mean, my god.

freakgirl at November 11, 2005 10:24 AM

I thought it would have been absolutely fabulous if, when the exec asked why they didn't have Darth Vader prominently displayed, Rebecca said, "Marshawn didn't think his outfit was colourful enough."

Alla saw that Clay was not pulling his weight as PM, so she did it herself. I'm surprised Randall didn't do the same thing, take charge and lead them to victory. Because he could have. It bothers me to think he didn't care simply because he was exempt.

Perhaps he gave up after that ridiculous argument with Marshawn about the character in red (I don't even know who the hell that is) being more interesting than the main characters fans have loved for 30 years.

I also thought Marshawn should have told the truth why she didn't want to do the presentation, but that would have gotten her fired as well. "Mr. Trump, I didn't want to present our display because it sucked and I don't believe in it."

Maggie at November 11, 2005 12:46 PM

I can't believe how bad I am at this Apprentice game. Every Monday I make my picks. I apparently forget everything I picked because I think I did so great, then I check and realize I SUCK. This is why I don't gamble.

Maggie at November 11, 2005 12:50 PM

I sucked in the game this week too. But fortunately, so did everybody else. So my standing is more or less the same. I think the only person this week who didn't score 40 or less points was Freakgirl.

Of course, I have no chance of winning. Because my third winner pick just got fired. First I went with Marcus, saw what a flake he was after the first week, and switched to Jenn M. She got fired, and I switched to Marshawn. At this point, no matter who I pick, I'd make so few points that the numbers simply wouldn't be with me.

But I'll keep trying.

GeekBoy at November 11, 2005 12:55 PM

I really like the double-firings. Or the quadruple-firings. I like that no one knows how many people are going home at a given time. It prevents everyone deciding to gang up on one person. Plus, I really think both firings were justified this week.

Cheri at November 11, 2005 01:48 PM

HAHA, Maggie. I seriously feel you. 20 points this week, HOLLA! I'm 80 points behind the nearest person, and TWO HUNDRED behind the leader. Best picker EVAR!

Way to keep fighting, Geek Boy!

sar at November 11, 2005 02:14 PM

I'm still in second place. Woo hoo!

DaisyLou2 at November 11, 2005 02:30 PM

you guys and your fantasy games... i should look into those sometime.. right now you are all talking in riddle.

how were they so clueless about star wars? my mind is boggled.

Soosan at November 11, 2005 03:07 PM

Cheri, I'm with you. Trump's forays off into increasingly bizarre displays of megalomania are only an improvement to the show.

I also think the show would benefit from having Maggie on it: "Marshawn didn't think his outfit was colourful enough." ::snort::

I'm sad about Marshawn being gone, but she probably did deserve it, although I would've been happy with her getting another chance and just Brian going. Trump needs to be slapped for letting someone with so much potential go.

Joey Jo-Jo, Bill was actually fine with Marshawn going. Carolyn was the one who wasn't thrilled about it. Hell, neither was Randal. Rebecca was cool with it, though.

Clay not getting his exemption? SWEET!

Jamison at November 12, 2005 02:45 PM

Wow, i agreed with everything this week. 15 minutes to Chelsea? And he lives in NYC? Inexcusable. Waiting to dump your presentation responsibilities five minutes before go time? Inexcusable. Taking credit for all of Alla's work and expecting your team, who already hates you, to vote you exemption and then looking shocked when they don't? Get off my fucking screen already.

Loved the cab ride. I just kept picturing a bubble over Brian's head saying, "I'm sitting here. I'm sitting right exactly here!"
