The rest of the group on the beach, waiting for the helicopter to come and get them, is surprised when it doesn't stop but instead tosses out a bag with a phone/transponder thingy. They assume that Sayid is on the helicopter and that he means for them to follow it, track it with the transponder. Daniel uses the phone and overhears someone say that they're headed to a place called the Orchid. Jack and Kate get their guns and get ready to go. Daniel is immediately distressed and privately tells Charlotte that if they're going to the Orchid, it means "they're using that secondary protocol" and says they need to get off the island NOW.
